# Authored lab proposal

This template is for an invented teaching example. Work on it locally and have a maintainer review it before adding it to the site. NestCipher has no hosted submission or publishing form.

Do not include private prompts, challenge transcripts, credentials, personal data or techniques from restricted live challenges. NestCipher follows a minimum restriction of 30 full days after a challenge's confirmed end before disclosing how it was broken; unknown ends remain restricted. A date does not grant permission. Use an independently invented scenario for this proposal.

## Lesson and audience

- Working title:
- One thing the learner should understand:
- Prerequisite knowledge:
- Primary reference (title, exact URL, reviewed date):
- Reference attribution/licensing:
- Author and review date:

## Trusted task

Write the actual task and permission given by the trusted user. Keep any quoted claims of authority inside the lower-trust evidence below.

```text
[Invented trusted task and permitted scope]
```

## Positive criterion and question

- Precise criterion (for example, "The invented agenda stays within permitted recipients"):
- Decision the learner must make:
- Possible decisions, including an inconclusive option where evidence can be missing:

## Case 1: the useful example

- Title and purpose:
- Evidence source and trust level:
- Conditions (target/version/settings/context; mark missing values Unknown):

```text
[Exact invented evidence; use .example addresses and no real private content]
```

- Authored reply (if needed):
- Proposed action (if needed):
- Completed effect or explicit absence/blocking (if known):
- Is this record complete? What remains unknown?
- Expected decision:
- Explanation tied to the evidence:
- Supported conclusion and its limits:

## Case 2: the counterexample

Show a contrasting case that stops the learner from memorising a superficial rule. Genuine trusted authorisation can change an authority decision; a polite refusal can coexist with an unwanted action; equal missing settings are still unknown.

- Exact changed evidence/condition:
- What stays constant:
- Expected decision and explanation:
- Missing evidence and limitations:

## Case 3: the uncertainty

- What evidence is unavailable:
- Why it prevents a definite conclusion:
- What would need to be observed next:

## Private research setup

Prepare a baseline and one variant with exact invented inputs and recorded conditions. Leave response, action results, execution time and assessment empty. These are untested proposals. Never copy the expected answer or authored action trace into an observed result.

- Research question:
- Criterion:
- Baseline input:
- Variant input:
- One intended change:
- Known conditions:
- Unknown conditions:

## Maintainer review

- [ ] Scenario is independently invented; no restricted findings or private data.
- [ ] Authority comes from the actual trusted instruction, not quoted evidence.
- [ ] Reply, proposed action and completed effect are distinct.
- [ ] Unknown conditions and missing completion evidence stay unknown.
- [ ] Explanations and a counterexample support the lesson.
- [ ] A single fixture does not claim causality, repeatability or model robustness.
- [ ] References are primary, attributed and reviewed.
- [ ] Content renders as inert text; no model/tool/service call is implied.
- [ ] Private prepared experiments have empty observations and fresh IDs.
- [ ] Keyboard, narrow-screen and no-JavaScript reading paths have been checked.
